Founded in 2011, Solid State Circus is an Australian company directed by Hemlock Mejarne and Luth Wolff.
We pride ourselves on our reliability, adaptability, and commitment to the Australian circus community.
Solid State Circus works with many amazing and talented performers to bring our shows and projects to life. We've performed in hundreds of schools around Australia, at festivals, events and on the streets, and worked in remote and isolated communities.

Hemlock mejarneHemlock began training Sports Acrobatics in 1985 at St. Joseph's in Sydney. He quickly made the Australian training team for Men's 4, and later went on to compete in the Pan Pacific Games in Double Mini-tramp & Tumbling.
Since then, Hemlock has been a professional acrobat & street performer for over 25 years, performing everywhere from the Australian Opera to oil camps in Oman, from the street festivals of Canada to ongoing outreach programs in remote Australia. Hemlock is a passionate advocate for busking and street performance. He advises councils & precinct managers on busking policy and is the national coordinator of the Peer Assessment for Street Safety Program (PASS). Ty FitzsimonsA founding member and performer with Solid State Circus, Ty has played an instrumental role in developing and performing many of our shows. Over the past 10 years, he has toured with us to hundreds of schools and festivals around Australia.
Ty has a Bachelor of Circus Arts from the National Institute of Circus Arts, specialising in Tumbling and Vertical Rope. He once did 136 backsaults in a row for a Circus Olympics competition. Ty has toured internationally with Belguim-based company Cirq'ulation Locale. Ty is currently based in Tasmania, teaching and performing in Hobart. |
luth wolff Luth is an experienced circus performer, coach & administrator. She began her circus adventure at age 6 as part of a school circus program and has never looked back.
From working as the administration manager for Ruccis Circus, to artistic director of the Melbourne Juggling Convention, stage manager at the Mullum Circus festival to project manager for Corrugated Iron Youth Arts, Luth has worked in many different areas of the circus community, backed by a degree in Arts and Event Management from Monash & Victoria Universities. Luth is currently touring her solo creation, The Big Tops & Tiny Tots Circus Show. |
